GRAND AFRICAN CARAVAN - SEPT. 24TH - EVENING

Thank You to the First Unitarian Church for their great hospitality and generosity.

Our evening was complemented with our wonderful MC, Linda Rourke from Cable 14.

We welcomed MP David Christopherson, Councillor Brian McHattie, MP Chris Charlton,
MPP Kevin Flynn on CAMR, Canada's Access to Medicines Regime,
SLF's Zahra Mohamed on fundraising initiative Dare to Remember.

Local Grandmothers Groups present were: Grandmothers of Steel, Blooms for Africa, Mabibi Wa Tama, Ubuntu, Bronte, HUGS, Grand River Grannies, Oomama, Nyanyas of Niagara, Grimsby Grandmothers, Grey Grandmothers.

Also present, Jill Richen, a University student from the UK, who is doing her dissertation on the grandmothers movement. She is pictured below with Dorothy Johns.

Our special guests, Regina Mokgokong and Nkulie Nowathe.

Thank you to everyone who helped and participated to make this evening a truly memorable one.
