Hamilton 'Kiliman' Climb - JUNE 20, 2009

The date is set, June 20, 2009 for Grandmothers of Steel Hamilton "Kiliman' Climb". All proceeds will go to the Stephen Lewis Foundation to support Grandmothers in Africa.

Registration will be at Wentworth St., or if you prefer to go down from Mohawk Sports Park, Upper Kenilworth Ave, Registration will be there also.

Start time: 9:00-11:00 a.m. Finish time: 3:00p.m.


We will climb the Escarpment Rail Trail from Wentworth St. to Mohawk Sports Park (Bernie Arbour), Upper Kenilworth Ave. Wills bus will take participants to the starting point: 8:40, 9:20, 10:00, 10:40

If you wish you may start at either the Park or Wentworth St., and going all the way to the top or bottom, depending on where you start. You may just want to go half way and return to the top or bottom. (whatever is suitable for each individual). The complete hike (from top to bottom) is about 6.8km (4.1 miles) and you will climb about 113m (372 ft.)

Platinum $500 - your placard labelled Platinum Sponsor and placed at the top section of the Trail.

Gold $200 - your placard labelled Gold Sponsor and placed towards the top of the Trail.

Silver $100 - your placard labelled Silver Sponsor and placed mid-way of the Trail.

Bronze $50 - placard labelled Bronze Sponsors: all will be listed on a placard at the start of Trail.
